Sensational Young Stunna carved a niche for himself alongside others like MC Kebsu, MC Dynamo and Half Eyez, when they throng Chinawhyte with “Skimpee” as they blew da roof to the excitement of music lovers and playa haters alike.

YOUNG STUNNA

Nigerian-born Rapper/Producer, Young Stunna has been involved in different aspects of music from an early age, from singing in the church choir as a child, to learning to play the piano to rapping old Heavy D and MC Hammer songs. His musical style is loosely influenced by music he listened to, growing up, for example, Heavy D, Shabba Ranks, Bob Marley, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, Ludacris, and production influences, Scott Storch, Dr Dre, DJ Premier, Timbaland etc.

Young Stunna (or “Stunna tha god”) is currently working towards releasing his first mixtape aptly titled “The Research Paper”, and will be released within the first quarter of next year, 2011. The mixtape boasts production from a lineup of International indie Producers, notably German Producer – Simon Blaze (David Correy, Yung Berg), DJ Frank E (Black Dada, Florida, Kanye West), Singaporean – Moe Masri (Craig Bass, DJ Smallz), Upcoming Miami Producer – J.Harv, Botswanian – Rimzy (A.T.I, Scar, Jujuboy), Nigerian Singer/Producer – Rogers, who handles a bulk of the production, and Young Stunna himself as well as a ton of others. He’s also managed to secure Ringtone deals, with Malaysian Telecom giant, Maxis for a few songs off the mixtape (Hold It Down, Lights Cameras Action, I Don’t Need Ur Love, and What Would You Do)

Currently based in Malaysia, he runs a production outfit, known as Hot Noise Music. He’s rocked an uncountable number of shows and Venues with stunning Live Performances and a hyped-up stage presence and as a result, he has opened for many big artistes in Malaysia.

He’s also racked up a couple of awards under his belt, such as VIMA (Malaysian Independent Music Awards) for BEST HIPHOP ACT and AVIMA (Asian Independent Music Awards) for BEST HIPHOP SONG (Lights Cameras Action) and Best African Act in Asia.

His song, “Lights Cameras Action” featuring Bruneian singer, JuJu, peaked No.4 in Bruneian charts, also he’s featured on mixtapes by DJ Krates (Slip N Slide DJs International) Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, DJ Fuzz (BumSquad DJs) and Universal Republic recording artiste, Black Dada.

Even with all this, Young Stunna, proclaims, “Am still not yet where I wanna be at this moment, I think I still got a long way to go”.

MC KEBSU ON THE RISE

MC Kebsu is a prolific unsigned dance-hall artist who hails from Southern Nigeria.

He is a lover of music since his days in high school. It took him a long time to really decide if he wants to be a singer till he started singing in church choirs and attended few high school competitions.

He came fully into music in 2009 after he travelled to Malaysia for studies and got inspired by friends who saw the talent in him.

In Malaysia, Kebsu joined a group of two called IKO MUSIC, he did some songs and he has been on steady climb to the top, as he have performed in various events and concerts in Malaysia such as, African Entertainment Awards 2010, Wande Coal Live and lots of other live events in Malaysia.

MC Kebsu and the Iko Music as a whole are determined to take the music scene by the storm.

DYNAMO aka DiddyOpi

Born and breed in the heart of Lagos city, Nigeria, this talented young artiste grew-up with a lot of musical genres at his disposal, from techno to hip-hop, jazz to Rhythm & blues (RnB).

His greatest influences and introduction to music were from his parents, being choristers themselves. He learnt a lot about music from his Dad and ‘Uncle’ Sammy Okposo who taught him how to sing and hold a note and play the drums whilst in the choir.

As a kid in primary school he also was part of the schools drum line and attained the post of band leader. From singing he got influenced by the rap culture after listening to artistes like Public Enemies, Biggie, Smallz, Big Pun, Warren G, JayZ, Nas, etc…..

Dynamo (aka DiddyOpi) is also a writer, poet, and dancer. His freestyle over Tony Yayo’s so seductive beat and collaboration track with Young Stunna and Big Fellow on DjRojay’s FreshNashaun Mix tape, earned him a spot on the Malaysian Music/Hip-Hop/Afro-Pop scene.

Currently He has been featured on some tracks by Young Stunna and the banging hit single ‘Blackberry Crase’ by the C.E.O Iko Music/ King of Dancehall in Malaysia Britella and Iko Music Star, Kebsu. Currently he is working on his own single and mix tape which should both be dropping simultaneously sometimes in the third quarter of 2011.

Based in Malaysia for the pursuit of academic excellence, He joined the award winning and widely known production crew, Hot Noise Music, in Nov of 2010, with Young Stunna running the outfit and Skimpee as Manager. His first Major show was the Choc Boyz Show held at Longbar Car Park on the 13th of Nov 2010, where he received a proper and arousing induction into the Malaysian Show biz scene.

He is also a pioneer member of 100 degrees dance crew, Icognito, FreshBoyzInc, and Head of Streetkatz Crew all based in Jos,Lagos and Abuja respectively…… He also has performed alongside numerous Nigerian Superstars in Nigeria at different occasions.

With so much to offer and amazing skills, he still thirsts for more to do and give.

His favorite slogan ‘Don’t be too Skeptical’ which he wears on a dog-tag round his neck, says it all about what he has to offer.
